2024 NCAA skiing championships: Schedule, how to watch, results
The 2024 NC skiing championships kick off with regional qualifiers from Feb. 22-25. The selections for the Central, East and West participants were announced on Feb. 27.
The NCAA championships will begin on March 6 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and events will continue through March 9. The Alpine events will be held at Mt. Werner and Howelsen Hills, while all Nordic events will be held at Howelsen Hills. All four days’ events will be live streamed on NCAA.com.
Regional qualification sites and dates
- West: Feb. 22-25 at Big Sky Resort and Crosscut Mountains in Big Sky, Montana. Hosted by Montana State
- Central: Feb. 24-25 at Michigan Tech Trails in Houghton, Michigan. Hosted by Michigan Tech
- East: Feb. 24-24 at Middlebury Snowbowl and Rikert Outdoor Center in Hancock, Vermont. Hosted by Middlebury
The NCAA skiing committee made its selections from the West, Central and East regions on Feb. 27. The field for each event will be divided into four seed groups corresponding with their regional rankings. The group with the highest-ranked regional skier will be drawn randomly. The rest will compete in order of regional ranking and alternating by region.

NCAA skiing championship history
Schools have competed in the NC skiing championships since 1954. Denver owns the most titles with 24 – including 10 since 2000. Colorado has 20 of its own, while Utah has 14. The Utes have won the past four championships since 2019 (the 2020 championships were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
The only other schools to win titles other than Denver, Colorado and Utah are Vermont (six), Dartmouth (three), Wyoming (two) and New Mexico (one).
