After a successful back to back event week on the east coast, the Adrenaline Staff gears up for another dual event weekend in the mountains. Teams will take the field in Colorado on Saturday for the Western Shootout, with many players kicking the weekend off early at the Western Showcase. Park City Showdown games will kick off Thursday for a three day stretch, maximizing field space and physical distance to ensure a safe playing environment. Both events will feature boys and girls teams from various regions of the west.
Despite restrictions in the recruiting calendar and the affect it has had on the physical sidelines, there are coaches that can recruit on site, many of which will be in attendance at the Western Showcase. Players will learn from top coaches in the game, whether it be in collegiate levels drills or scrimmages. All games will be filmed and made available to every college coach. Every single game at the Shootout will also be filmed and sent directly to college coaches. This summer is all about gathering content and staying relevant. Every team/player will have the ability to acquire film and build their digital resume. We know first hand after Black Card/ Platinum Cup that coaches are continuing to shoot their shot and snatch players up to fill their future roster spots.
Inside Lacrosse will have boots on the ground in Colorado scouting teams and players that impressed to assist in on-site player analysis. They will be accompanied by the Adrenaline Evaluation Team (AET) and coaches recs for deciding who will earn a spot in the boys All Star Games Saturday night at 5:00 PM. Hosting ASG’s allow us to put the most standout players on an even bigger, more intimate stage to increase exposure, provide an additional film opportunity, and become better as a player by playing with and against the top competition. Stay tuned for a roster release following Day One games!
In order minimize crowds without compromising a chance at a division championship, Western Shootout teams will have to take each game as seriously as the next. The only way to make the set championship game is to notch a pristine record and rank #1 or #2. Goals against will be more important than ever, making the defensive game a key factor in securing a spot at the top. Seven boys teams and four girls teams will be crowned Western Shootout Champions on Sunday. The full schedule, scores, and rankings can be found here.
Due to different covid related precautions, Park City is a set schedule, making a perfect record even that much more important for bragging rights. The PCS Showdown schedule with four boys divisions and three girls divisions can be found here!
