GAINESVILLE, FL. (9/19/19) – Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School in Southwest Ranches will host the 2020 Florida High School Boys Volleyball State Championships, the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) announced Thursday.

“The administration, faculty and coaching staff are excited to work with the FHSAA in hosting the 2019-2020 Boys Volleyball State Championship games here at Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School on May 15th & 16th, 2020”, said Executive Director of Advancement Tony Massaro.

After being held at Boca Raton High School and Ransom Everglades in Miami the previous two years, Archbishop McCarthy will be hosting the boy’s volleyball finals for the first time in the event’s history. Just like this past May, the 2020 version will feature seven matches to be played out over two days. This one classification event will see four quarterfinal matches take place on Friday, with both the semifinal and championship matches taking place on Saturday.

“We are excited to bring this event to the Southwest Ranches community at one of our tradition rich member schools,” FHSAA Executive Director George Tomyn said. “Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School will be a terrific partner and we expect this to be a memorable experience for our student-athletes, coaches and fans.”

Advance ticket information for the event will be available via GoFan, the exclusive digital ticketing provider for the FHSAA. Downloadable today for both Apple and Android, the free GoFan app features the ability to buy tickets to FHSAA State Series events as well as enter the venue through mobile scanning and redemption.
