Tim Tebow Was Furious With Officiating In The National Championship
Former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow wasn’t a fan of the officiating in Monday night’s national title game between Michigan and Washington.
Washington had a chance early in the fourth quarter to even things up against Michigan. However, all its momentum was derailed when a holding penalty wiped out an explosive play from Michael Penix Jr. and Rome Odunze.
Tebow thought the optics of that holding call were really bad considering Michigan got away with a few questionable plays earlier in the game.
“Really tough holding call after some of the ones they missed for Michigan,” Tebow wrote on social media.

Most people who watched tonight’s game made similar comments about the referees, and that criticism will probably carry over to every sports talk show on Tuesday morning.
At the end of the day though, Michigan was simply the more dominant team. Jim Harbaugh’s squad rushed for 303 yards and avoided making any costly mistakes. The defense for the Wolverines also stepped up, applying constant pressure on Penix.
