Spencer Rattler Has Message For Fans After Impressive Senior Bowl Performance
It took longer than he and a lot of other people expected, but Spencer Rattler is finally on his way to the NFL.
Rattler capped off his college career with an impressive performance in the Senior Bowl on Saturday, going 4-4 for 65 yards and one touchdown.
He earned MVP honors for his performance in a game where Oregon’s Bo Nix played sparingly and Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. didn’t play at all.
Look how God works. It was a great week with everybody here. Amazing experience! 🙏🏽 https://t.co/nqAenKgUIm

After the game, Rattler said he had a “great week” and an “amazing experience” at the Senior Bowl.
Rattler is expected to be taken in April’s NFL Draft, and he’ll finally get the chance to prove himself at the professional level.
The former five-star recruit was once considered among the top quarterbacks in the country, a candidate for the Heisman trophy and even for the No. 1 pick.
That changed after the 2021 season at Oklahoma, where he was benched for Caleb Williams.
Rattler left Oklahoma and played his final two college seasons as South Carolina. He led the Gamecocks to an 8-5 record in his first season in 2022, but the team was not as successful in 2023, finishing at 5-7.
Rattler may not be considered one of the top quarterbacks in his class, but many players have made a name for themselves despite being picked on Days 2 or 3 of the draft.
Rattler will hope that he can follow in the footsteps of players like Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy – all non-first round picks who have gone on to become star quarterbacks in the NFL.
