Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have this evening posted a massive triple announcement across the club’s social media channels.
The first piece of news surrounds Antoine Griezmann, who had of course been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona for the last 6 months, before the Frenchman confirmed his surprise decision to remain at the Wanda Metropolitano in a public announcement video last week.
And, as per Atletico’s update this evening, Griezmann has not only ruled out a move to the Camp Nou this summer, but also committed his long-term future to the Rojiblancos, by putting pen to paper on a new contract with the club.
Next up is highly-regarded full-back Lucas Hernandez, who has been drawing admiring glances from a number of Europe’s biggest clubs of late.
Hernandez, currently on international duty with France at the World Cup, has tonight also committed his future to Atletico, by penning a new deal of his own in the Spanish capital.
And the final piece of news has seen the Spanish powerhouse confirm the signing of Thomas Lemar from Monaco, with the in-demand winger having signed off on his contract with Diego Simeone’s men tonight, after undergoing his medical examinations earlier today:
