One of La Liga’s fiercest fixtures takes place on Saturday evening and our tipster has come up with a 7/2 selection using bet365’s Bet Builder
The first Madrid derby of the season takes place on Saturday evening as Real and Atletico meet at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in La Liga.
Zinedine Zidane’s men enter the weekend top of the Primera Division as one of only two unbeaten sides and have not lost a domestic clash against their cross-city rivals since February 2016.
Atletico, though, have lost just one home match in each of their last two seasons and are certain to pose a tough task for Real. Ahead of the clash, our tipster has created a 7/2 (4.50) value bet using bet365’s Bet Builder feature.
The Bet Builder allows users to combine multiple selections from the same game into one bet and this 7/2 (4.50) shot features: under three goals, over 10 corners, and over five cards.
Goals between these sides do not usually come around very often, with six of the last eight Liga clashes seeing two strikes or fewer.
As well, Atletico’s home games averaged just 2.21 goals last season – the fifth-lowest total in the division – whilst this season that average has dropped to exactly two goals after three games.
Real Madrid have scored 12 times in six games this season, with exactly half of those coming away from Santiago Bernabeu, and kept a clean sheet in their previous away game.
Despite the absence of goals, there are set to be plenty of corners at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Matches involving Zidane’s side this season have averaged 11.33 per contest, with the Blancos taking an average of 6.33 while giving up five. In their previous away fixture, hosts Sevilla took nine.
Atletico’s games see an average 10.17, only 0.02 shy of the league average this season, with Diego Simeone’s men taking an incredible 13 corners against Celta Vigo in their last home Liga fixture.
Unsurprisingly for a local derby between two deadly rivals, there are almost always yellow cards. Needing six or more bookings for this portion of the bet sounds like a lot, but it has landed with alarming frequency in this fixture recently.
Indeed, five of the last six matches in all competitions have seen more than five cards shown, including both of lasts season league clashes.
