The Potters opted to sack Rowett following the club’s 1-1 draw with League 1 side Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup.

Stoke will have been hoping for an immediate return to the Premier League.

However, with the Midlands club currently sat 13th and eight points off the play-off spots, their form has been far from good enough.
