The Regular Season in Euroleague just started. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

German ALBA Berlin smashed Russian Zenit at home 85-65. The game without a history. ALBA Berlin led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Cameroonian center Landry Nnoko (208-94, college: Clemson) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Swedish Marcus Eriksson (201-93) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American-Georgian Will Thomas (203-86, agency: Two Points) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds for Zenit. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zenit will play next round against FC Barcelona trying to get back on the winning streak. ALBA Berlin will try to continue on its current victory against Anadolu Efes in Istanbul.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Israeli Maccabi T-A (0-1) on the court of Russian Khimki. Visitors were defeated by Khimki 89-83. Guard Alexey Shved (198-88, agency: Alti Sport) stepped up and scored 22 points and 6 assists for the winners and Anthony Gill chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Omri Casspi (206-88) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Turkish Fenerbahce (0-1) and Spanish Real Madrid (1-0), which took place in Madrid. Fenerbahce lost to Real Madrid in a road game 77-81.
