Millwall vs Everton
Everton travel to Millwall on Saturday for a 4th round FA Cup clash.
Everton beat Lincoln City 2-1 in the 3rd round earlier this month.
Millwall would beat Hull City 2-1 to progress to the 4th round.
The Toffees did start the season quite well but have since slipped down to 11th in the Premier League after losing three of their last five.
Silva has been coming under increasing pressure at Everton and after a 2-1 defeat to Southampton last time out, Everton are in desperate need of a win.
Given Millwall are 19th in the Championship, Saturday’s game could be a great chance to secure a much-needed win.
Phil Jagielka injury update
Heading into the FA Cup tie, Silva has provided an injury update on the Everton squad.
Phil Jagielka has been out for much of the 2018/19 season and has only managed 14 minutes of league football.
Everton were hopeful of having the 36-year-old back for Millwall but Silva believes he will need a few more weeks:
“It’s possible he needs one, two more weeks to start training with the squad. Apart from that, no big problems. Small problems during the week, but everyone is OK, they all work with the tea”
Silva confirms Jagielka is “not ready” for the @EmiratesFACup tie versus Millwall. “It’s possible he needs one, two more weeks to start training with the squad. Apart from that, no big problems. Small problems during the week, but everyone is OK, they all work with the tea” #EFC
