27-year old point guard Briante Weber (188-PG-92) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Levallois and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had the game-high 26 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Levallois in his team’s victory, helping them to edge out Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#13, 2-4) 114-110. Levallois maintains the 2nd position in French league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Levallois already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. Weber turned to be Levallois’ top player in his first season with the team. Virginia Commonwealth University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Weber is in league’s top in assists (3rd best: 7.3apg) and averages solid 4.0spg and 61.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Nicolas de Jong (210-C-88) of Pau-Lacq-Orthez. He is Dutch center in his first season at Pau-Lacq-Orthez. In the last game de Jong recorded impressive 31 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Pau-Lacq-Orthez was edged by league’s leader Levallois (#2, 6-0) 114-110. This loss caused Pau-Lacq-Orthez to drop to 13th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 2-4 record. de Jong is a newcomer at Pau-Lacq-Orthez and quickly became one of team’s most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Michael Stockton (185-PG-89) of Cholet (#6). Stockton scored 15 points and passed twelve assists (!!!). He was a key player of Cholet, leading his team to a 80-72 win against the lower-ranked Le Portel (#16, 1-5). Cholet needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Stockton has a great season in France. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in assists with 7.2apg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Richard Solomon (208-C-92) of Dijon – 24 points and 5 rebounds
5. Nicolas Lang (199-G-90) of Limoges – 22 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
