Now, Gareth Southgate has confirmed the blow for Manchester United.
Rashford returns to Man United
Speaking to the press ahead of England’s clash with the Czech Republic, Southgate explained that ‘it was clear’ Rashford wouldn’t feature in either of their games and was sent back to Man United.
“He’s been with our medical team all week and tried to take part in training,” Southgate explained, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
“It’s clear he’s not going to be ready for our matches so we’ll send him back to the club and he’s out of our two games.
“We knew a couple of days ago Marcus wouldn’t be ready for tomorrow but it’s a great opportunity for a few others.
