The Atlanta Hawks have signed former Sydney Kings centre Isaac Humphries for the remainder of the NBA season, the team announced today.
Humphries, the 2017/18 NBL Rookie of the Year, has impressed with the Hawks’ G-League affiliate, Erie Bay Hawks, this season, averaging 11.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 1.1 assists per game.
Over his past four matches with Erie, Humphries has recorded averages of 18.8 points and 11.8 rebounds.
Humphries will wear number eight for Atlanta, and could play in the Hawks’ clash against San Antonio tomorrow at 11:30am AEDT.
In his lone season with Sydney, Humphries averaged 6.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. He has also played professionally in Serbia since leaving the NBL.
