Marcus Stroman calls out Dennis Eckersley for ‘trash’ commentary

MLB legend Dennis Eckersley appeared to criticize Marcus Stroman during Sunday’s game for the way he carries himself on the mound, and it didn’t take long for the Toronto Blue Jays ace to fire back. Stroman is known for being one of the most animated pitchers in baseball, and Eckersley and Jerry Remy discussed that at one point during the NESN broadcast of Toronto’s win over the Boston Red Sox. Eckersley said the antics are “tired.” Eckersley was immediately ripped by fans for the commentary, which many felt was hypocritical. During his Hall of Fame career, Eck was known for always wearing his emotions on his sleeve and for occasionally showing up opposing hitters while he did it.
