With a very promising start to the preseason under their belt, here are five predictions for the Miami Heat in the 2019-20 campaign.
It may be early days, but so far the signs are promising for the Miami Heat.
With two emphatic wins to kick off their preseason schedule, the overall makeup of the Heat has somewhat of a fresh vibe to it. While Dwyane Wade, Josh Richardson and Hassan Whiteside were all valuable contributors in their own right, the opportunities that have opened up with the departure of this trio in the offseason have been evident in the early going.
In addition to Bam Adebayo taking over from Whiteside on a full-time basis as the starting center, other key pieces such as Justice Winslow, electrifying forward Derrick Jones Jr., and exciting rookie Tyler Herro are already demonstrating that they are ready to fill in the roles made available by these departures.
And this is all without mentioning the arrival of Jimmy Butler, the crowning achievement of the Heat’s offseason. In conjunction with head coach Erik Spoelstra, Butler and the Heat will be looking to atone for their disappointing 39-win season of 2018-19, and cement themselves again as a legitimate playoff contender.
So with this in mind, here are five predictions for the 2019-20 season.
