Tuesday marked the return of San Diego Padres star Manny Machado to Baltimore for the first time since he was traded at the 2018 deadline. As Machado came to the plate, his former home fans rose to their feet to applaud. He was also given a video tribute on the scoreboard. Machado broke into the majors with the Orioles in 2012. With Baltimore, he slashed at .283/.335/.487 and hit 162 home runs. He also Machado made four All-Star teams (2013, 2015, 2016, 2016) and won two Gold Gloves with the Orioles. Machado was traded from Baltimore to the Los Angeles Dodgers at the 2018 All-Star Break. In the offseason, he signed with the Padres.
