Crispy baked zucchini fries made with Japanese panko bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Serve the zucchini fries with ranch dressing as a healthy and delicious snack.
It’s spring and I am looking forward to zucchinis. I have many zucchini recipes and today I am going to teach you how to make zucchini fries, which are absolutely delicious, healthy (no deep-frying) and addictive. Trust me, once you have tried my Parmesan Zucchini Fries recipe, you will be hooked!
What I love most about this recipe is how easy it is. It calls for a few simple main ingredients and there is no deep-frying involved:
- Fresh zucchinis
- Japanese panko bread crumbs
- Parmesan cheese
You can make Zucchini fries plain but Parmesan cheese is the secret ingredient. Zucchini has a very mild taste so you definitely need the cheese to jazz up the flavors. Plus, Parmesan cheese will make the bread crumb coating extra crispy!
It does take a bit of time coating the zucchinis with the Parmesan-panko mixture but it is certainly a lot more easier than deep-frying. I love serving them with ranch dressing, which is amazing with the crispy fries. Enjoy!
