Rivera has been with the Commanders for three seasons as their coach, and his players love how he leads the team.
However, he’s now naming one of his players the face of the Commanders’ franchise.
So which player has caught the eye of Rivera as he calls them the face of the franchise?
Rivera Calls Wide Receiver Terry McLaurin The Face Of The Franchise In Washington
Wide receiver Terry McLaurin has been a cornerstone of the Commanders offense the past couple seasons.
Since coming to Washington, he’s been a top target for his quarterbacks.
With him being such a key component of their offense, it’s clear why Rivera has named him the face of the franchise.

To Rivera, McLaurin is showing his team why he’s their top guy and the face of their franchise.
Despite the rotating door of quarterbacks in Washington, he’s still producing.
However, his production is from receiving yards and not as much in the touchdowns area.
He’s got three consecutive seasons of 1,000+ receiving yards, which is huge for him and the Commanders.
But his touchdown production is low, as his highest season for touchdown receptions was during his rookie year.
Since then, he’s yet to bypass his seven touchdowns from his 2019 season.
While he’s not seeing the touchdowns, he’s still the face of the franchise for everything he does to help his team.
If he can get an elite quarterback, he can become an elite receiver in the NFL and cement his legacy as the team’s top player.
