Ronda Rousey continues her acting chops as she is joining the cast of the hit show 9-1-1 on the Fox network. Rousey has been cast as a firefighter named Lena Bosko. The show was renewed for a third season in March and will debut on September 23.
According to Deadline.com, Rousey’s character is being described as a “stoic and fearless member of the Los Angeles Fire Department 136 who leaps into action to save lives when a disaster hits.”
The show has witnessed major catastrophes such as a 7.1 magnitude earthquake that hit Los Angeles. Season three is going to focus on a tsunami that engulfs Santa Monica.
There hasn’t been word on how many episodes she will be featured in, but it does state that her role is recurring.
Rousey has dabbled in some acting previously in a few television shows as well on the big screen. She was most recently in Mile 22 last year and previously Furious 7 and The Expendables 3.
