18-year old Uros Banjac (01) had an amazing evening in the last round for Sloboda NS U19 and receives a Interperformances JLS Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds, while his team edged out Konstantin U19 (3-3) 77-76. Sloboda NS U19 is placed at 6th position in Serbian JLS. Sloboda NS U19 is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. In the team’s last game Banjac had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Sloboda NS U19’s top player in his first season with the team. Banjac has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in points (3rd best: 19.8ppg) and averages solid 44.4% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Bosko Bumbic (191-G-01) of Borac U19. He is a guard in his 3rd season at Borac U19. In the last game Bumbic recorded impressive triple-double of 12 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists. Of course he led Borac U19 to another comfortable win outscoring Marinos U19 (#11, 0-6) 95-38. This victory allowed Borac U19 to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Bumbic is one of the most experienced players at Borac U19 and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.0ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 9.7rpg and 7.3apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Nikola Radovanovic (195-SG-01) of Dinamik U19 (#9). Radovanovic scored 18 points. Despite Radovanovic’s great performance Dinamik U19 lost 55-75 to the higher-ranked Crvena Zv. U19 (#2, 5-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Dinamik U19 not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Radovanovic could try to bring Dinamik U19’s a little bit higher in the standings. Radovanovic has individually a great season in Serbia. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in assists with 5.0apg (7th best). He also has 2.8spg and FGP: 72.9%.
