Former New York Knick Cleanthony Early has been balling in Japan this season—the next chapter in his NBA comeback. More than three years ago, Cleanthony’s life took a frightening turn when he was robbed and shot in New York City while he was a member of the Knicks, his hometown team who drafted him in 2014. He’s still coping with different tragedies that have tormented him throughout his life, and the negative perception that follows him as he works his way back to the league, a couple of weeks before turning 28.
