In 1993 Jim Hart along with 4 other area coaches fielded 5 City Rocks teams aged 13-17. In their current form the City Rocks field over 20 teams made up from over 200 boys and girls from Upstate New York and beyond. Now entering their 20th season the City Rocks have reached National acclaim and are widely considered a Top 20 AAU program in the USA.

Some of the more notable accomplishments of the City Rocks are:

Helping well over 100 of our athletes receive Full Athletic Scholarships
10 of our players have represented our country for USA Basketball
6 of our players have played in the NBA
We have had 2 of our players drafted in EACH of the last 2 NBA Drafts 2010- Lazar Hayward & Andy Rautins 2011- Jimmer Fredette & Tobias Harris.

Last years Wooden Award winner and National Player of the Year-Jimmer Fredette.

National Television appearance on ESPN in Championship game of AAU Super Showcase. In that game the City Rocks beat a very talented Team Final led by Michael Kidd Gilchrist and Dion Waiters by a score of 68-64.

Coaching Staff considered one of the best in the Country 4 division 1 Head Coaches have coached City Rocks teams 2 Division 1 Head Coaches currently coaching City Rock teams We have over 20 coaches on staff who have coached a HS or College team.

The Director of the City Rocks, Jim Hart has served on the Advisory Board of Nike Grassroots Basketball for the past 6 years. Jim also serves on the Advisory Board of iHoops a collaboration of the NCAA and NBA whose mission is to establish a structure and develop programs to improve the quality of youth basketball in America in order to enhance the athletic, educational, and social experience of the participants.
