Impossible Burger’s meatless, beef-like burger recently launched in two New York restaurants. Saxon + Parole, and the Michelin-starred Public, both led by Executive Chef Brad Farmerie, began serving the hard-to-get product on February 2.
The meatless patty reportedly has a texture that mimics beef, though it’s made of textured wheat protein and coconut oil. The patties even sizzle and “bleed” while being cooked.
Impossible Burger should be available in grocery stores over the next few years. The company is working on plant-based steak, fish, cheese, and bacon, reports Business Insider. Full Story
