This season’s NFL Pro Bowl will be drastically different from what it has been in the past.
For the first time, it will consist of a flag football game, rather than good old-fashioned tackle football, as well as skills competitions throughout the week of the contest.
It is reportedly an attempt by the league to generate more interest in perhaps the all-star game that fans least look forward to in any of the four major North American sports.
Tyreek Hill, the star wide receiver of the Miami Dolphins, who himself will be taking part in the Pro Bowl for his seventh time, wants the league to go further with revamping the contest.

The NBA All-Star Game has traditionally been held in February, by which point all teams have played at least 50 of their 82 games.
If the NFL were to take Hill’s advice, it would have to allow balloting to start early enough in the season and schedule the Pro Bowl late enough in the season to give players enough time to build up a strong case to be voted into it.
Under its current schedule, Pro Bowl balloting for fans doesn’t start until mid-November.
Hill Is Having A Whale Of A Season For Miami
When Hill was traded by the Kansas City Chiefs during the offseason to the Dolphins, some wondered if he would continue to put up big numbers without the help of quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Not only has he continued to put up big numbers, but he’s putting up even bigger numbers this season.
Hill is currently at 1,529 yards through 14 games, which is already a career-high, and he has also scored seven touchdowns.
He has been a big factor in the development of Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa, whose performance this year is leaps and bounds beyond what he showed in 2021.
